Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 April 2025

1. Introduction

When you visit the Sathaphon Legal website, small data files called cookies may be placed on your device. This policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use, why we use them, and how you may adjust your preferences at any time. If you have questions about any part of this policy, you are welcome to contact us at [email protected].

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your browser or device when you visit. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device on a subsequent visit and can be used to maintain a session, remember preferences, or collect statistical information about how the site is used.

Cookies may be set either by the website you are visiting directly (first-party cookies) or by third-party services that the website uses, such as analytics or advertising platforms (third-party cookies). Cookies that expire when you close your browser are called session cookies; those that persist across sessions are called persistent cookies.

3. Cookies we use

The table below lists the categories of cookies present on our website, together with their purpose and typical duration. Individual cookie names within each category may vary as third-party services update their implementations.

Category Purpose Type Duration
Strictly necessary Maintain your consent preference and ensure the website functions correctly. These cookies do not collect personal data for marketing purposes. First-party Up to 12 months
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 Help us understand which pages are visited most often, how long visitors spend on each page, and where visitors come from, so we may improve the content and structure of the site. Third-party (Google LLC) Up to 24 months
Analytics — Microsoft Clarity / Bing Provide aggregated session-level data including scroll depth and click patterns to help us understand how visitors navigate the site. Third-party (Microsoft Corporation) Up to 12 months
Advertising — Meta Pixel Record that a visit occurred following an advertisement served on the Meta platform (Facebook or Instagram), so we may measure the effectiveness of any paid promotion. We do not use this data to build individual advertising profiles beyond standard aggregated reporting. Third-party (Meta Platforms, Inc.) Up to 180 days

4. Legal basis for placing cookies

Under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) of Thailand, strictly necessary cookies are placed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functional website. All other cookies described in Section 3 are placed only with your consent, which we request through the notice displayed on your first visit to the site.

You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal. The method for doing so is described in Section 6 below.

5. How we use cookie data

Data collected through analytics cookies is used solely to understand how our website is used in aggregate, so that we may improve the information and layout we offer. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors or to make decisions about individual people.

Data collected through the Meta Pixel is used only for aggregated advertising effectiveness measurement as described in Section 3. We do not sell cookie-derived data to any third party, and we do not use cookie data for profiling purposes beyond those described in this policy.

6. Managing your cookie preferences

You may adjust your cookie preferences in any of the following ways:

  • Our consent notice. When you first visit the site, a notice at the bottom of the screen invites you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. If you accepted and later wish to change your preference, you may clear your browser cookies for this site and reload the page to see the notice again.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings menus. Instructions are available in the help documentation of the browser you use. Blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of some websites.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on that prevents data being sent to Google Analytics, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Meta advertising preferences. You may adjust advertising preferences through your Meta account settings or through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out mechanisms available in your region.

Withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the information on our website, and it will not affect any matter you have instructed us to handle.

7. Third-party cookie policies

The third parties whose cookies appear on our site maintain their own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to read those policies if you would like further information about how those parties handle data:

8. Retention of cookie data

Cookie data is retained for the durations set out in the table in Section 3. Where cookie data is processed as personal data under the PDPA, the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy apply to that underlying personal data once it has been collected and stored in our systems.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, the services we engage, or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy with respect to strictly necessary cookies; for other cookie categories, we will request fresh consent where required by law.
